Then Jesus Came

Thought members of Lighthouse Baptist Church might like to see this! What a wonderful experience it was to be a part of this production. This was a joint effort by: Old Time Baptist Church, Lighthouse Baptist Church, Open Bible Baptist Church, Faith Baptist Church and Conawango Baptist Church. It is very unusual to get two churches to cooperate in a project like this, let alone 5 to 7 churches. Kudos to Bro. Lou, you are a very adept, skillful and compassionate leader. I will definitely do it again next year. The hard work paid off and it sounded great!

This photo was taken by Tommy Rood, Old Time Baptist Church. Thanks Tommy!

Lighthouse Baptist Church Work Day, NOV 13

Several men in the church came to work on the nursery today. They got quite a bit of the dropped ceiling completed. A few other small jobs were completed as well. It was a good time of fellowship.

2010 Couples Conference

This year, the Couples Conference was held at the Niagara Falls Convention Center. Accommodations were at the Crown Plaza Hotel. The conference was one of, if not THE best we've ever had. The hotel was superb and spacious. The conference center was well staffed and beautiful. One of the wonders of the world, Niagara Falls, was only a 5-7 minute walk from our hotel.

Pastor and Mrs Jenkins (Grace Baptist Church, Gaylord, MI) and Dr. and Mrs Gary Berry (Liberty Baptist Church, Charlotte, NC) were our guest speakers. Our theme this year was "Integrity, Grace and Honor".

The conference lasted only 2 days, and was such a blessing to all who attended. If you were unable to attend for what ever reason, please, begin planning and saving now for next year's conference. You will not regret it! Next year, we will not only have Dr Berry (I hope) and Dr. Jenkins, we look forward to having Dr. Tom Williams and Pastor Doug Fisher and all of their wives. I don't know how we are going to pack all of this in to a day and a half.... maybe we should give it an extra day? Anyway, I am looking forward to next year.

Here are some photos of the conference. This collection of photos is not yet complete and will be added to in the days to come. I'll let you know when it's complete. You may download any of the photos you like and print them at Walmart, Target or any of your favorite photo printers. If you would like a professional print, with color and density correction, drop me a line with the image number and we'll make that happen.

TBS Volleyball game

TBS Eagles defeated Amherst this evening. Here are a few photos of the evening. What can I say.... I love these kids. Wish I could go to all of their games, ah, but alas, my need for that filthy Lucre prevents me from doing that! Sad, but true.

Tonawanda Fireman's Parade

It was a rainy one for sure. The poor guys and girls of the volunteer fire departments in the Town of Tonawanda were soaked well before the parade began. Check out the downpour in this collection of photos. It did however, enable me to get a great shot of the Rose of Sharon bush in the front yard. It's probably one of my favorite photos.

Debbie and Sarah's Sunday School Party

The girls came over for a pizza and pool party. What a blast! The girls really enjoyed themselves, and the weather cooperated as well. The temperature was around 86 degrees, so the pool was very refreshing. As usual, the girls were very well behaved and a joy to have in our home. Thank you girls for being so much fun! I hope you had as much fun in the pool as I did taking your pictures. Yes Miss Stone, I did get you! Ha Ha Ha!!! Miss Bern too!!!!! :0)

Our Getaway weekend

Debbie and I had our little getaway weekend on 7/2 - 7/3. Went to Russels'(spent the night) and then went down to Randolph to pick up Joy's hope chest, made by an Amish man who did a very nice job! Really great craftsmanship. On the way there, we stopped in Ellicotville so Debbie could check out a craft show. While we were walking around the show, I spotted a photographers boot. I stopped in and immediately was greeted by a wonderful couple - photographers - who made me feel very comfortable, talking about myself and my photography. They were an encouragement to me. Here are a few photos I took along the way. Debbie's not too keen on stopping as much as I would like, so I can only get a few shots.

Anyway, after picking up the chest, we drove to Eric and Tina's home, where we fellowshipped with them and Pastor Darling and Rita, the Pearsons, and several members of their church. Had a great time of fellowship and they had a very nice dinner planned, and we were invited!

Sad to say Vinney was not present, as he is in the Marine Corps, and is away training for their imminent deployment to the Middle East. I took a few photos of your beautiful baby girl Vinney. Hope you like them!

Camera Gear NOT For Sale

Regarding my previous post of 6/25/10, placing my camera gear up for sale: NOT FOR SALE!!

I feel bad about all the boys and girls performing in the recital that were left out of my photo album because I listened to the voice of the "wicked one", saying I was not welcome there to photograph them. I apologize to Mrs Spaulding for having put my gear away in haste in a less than mature response. Please forgive my hasty response to an unfortunate incident. After praying about it, I have learned that I was listening to the wrong voices.

God has shown me that I have come a very long way in my quest to become a good photographer, though not yet having attained the level of "great".

I will not be putting my gear up for sale. Look for me to have my camera at or near my side at all times, and will be available to photograph your special events, families, friends and loved ones.

Mrs Spaulding's class recital

Friday evening, June 25th, Mrs Spaulding's students held their annual recital. It was a wonderful evening! The students showed progress over the last year, a testament to their faithfulness to their teacher and the commitment to their chosen instrument(s). I am encouraged to see how these young people have progressed, and look forward to seeing how God will use them in His service!

I am so sorry I don't have photos of all the children. As you can see, God is still working on me too!

Thank you Mrs Spaulding for all that you do with these, our children!

Grace Baptist College Tour Group

The singing tour group of Grace Baptist College visited Niagara Falls yesterday, Saturday. Joy and Leah were excited to greet them on their home turf. It was a wonderful day to view the falls, though it was overcast and windy. I believe we got as wet from the mist as you would had you gone to the "Cave of the Winds" or ridden on the "Maid of the Mist"

Hope you like the pictures girls!

Our Christmas Eve service

On Christmas Eve, Joy and I were able to take part in the service. This was Joy's first Christmas solo, singing "One Small Child", while Ken sang "Joseph's Song". "Joseph's Song" has become a tradition at our church on Christmas eve. It has been sung for the past 21 years, having only missed once, I think.
